RECOMMENDED BALLISTIX TOOLBOX

To be a successful and consistent installer of the BallistiX systems. You should consider the following

  1. Microfiber Mop - 18”
  2. Applicator pads - Only use the BallistiX Applicator pads for ensured success. Other styles of pad will lead to failure
  3. Swing Buffer or Sander
  4. Prep Pads

4A. Concrete - Black/Maroon

4B. Epoxy - Teal, Red and White

  1. Sanding Screens - 80,120,150,220,320 (only if sanding is absolutely required) the goal is to avoid sanding entirely. Start off with highest grit possible if required / always end at 320 if sanding.
  2. Isopropyl Alcohol - 99% for all reconstitution and prep of Epoxy. Lesser purity grade Isopropyl can be used for prep of concrete if completely dry. All other alcohols should be avoided. DO NOT USE denatured, especially over epoxy. This can and will lead to failure.
  3. “BallistiX Obliterate” degreaser - acceptable degreaser in instances when you have areas of pre-existing grease
  4. Pump Sprayer (not a hand sprayer) with a very fine-mist conical tip
  5. HVLP GUN - for smaller/focal applications such as countertops, tables and deep pour
  6. PPE - As necessary - Respirator / Gloves

Remember - the number one rule of BallistiX - if it’s clean, it’ll bond. Forget the idea of having to grind or sand for a profile. This product will bond to

glass! The average BallistiX job can be performed without a trailer full of gear!
