BallistiX can be applied over most water based and solvent based sealers
Water Based Acrylic Sealers
Ensure that WB Acrylic sealers are cured out and clean with iso 99% alcohol. Please check the TDS sheet of the product you are using to understand the cure schedule and ensure the product has fully cured before applying BallistiX. Our ARM8400X sealer is an approved sealer for use with BallistiX.
Solvent Based Sealers
We suggest using WB sealers with BallistiX however SB based sealers can be used as well. Please refer to the TDS of the product you are using to understand the cure schedule and ensure it has fully cured out before using BallistiX. Many solvent based sealers have a much longer cure schedule (can be 7-10 days). To be sure BallistiX will adhere properly to the subtrate perform a test on a small area to ensure proper adhesion. Ensure to clean and prep with iso 99% alcohol.
