Classifications of corrosion ratings
Many chemicals for corrosive environments are represented in the following chemical charts. Much of the information is from actual lab testing or field experience established during our many years of business. In some instances where neither field service nor laboratory testing has contributed to the classification, our chemists have rated the chemicals according to expected characteristics. However, many applications are complicated by mixtures of chemicals, temperature fluctuations and other intricate conditions existing at the specific job site. For these reasons, it is advisable to place a test patch prior to the installation of any product to investigate the suitability of your selection with your specific needs.
