How much room to leave for SupraTile around the perimeter so the tiles can expand and contract?
We advise leaving a 1/4" gap between the tile and the wall
SupraTile can expand during heat and contract when it's colder temperature. To allow for the tiles to 'float' and expand if they get hot, we advise leaving a 1/4" gap between the tile and the wall so that when the tiles do expand they have room to spread out.
If you don't leave room for the tiles to expand, it's possible the tiles will buckle and pop up if they get hot.
