How to moisture test with plastic sheet?
There are two ways to test for moisture.
There are two ways to test for moisture. The first is with a Moisture Test Kit available from Armorpoxy or others. The 'economy method' of moisture testing is to tape down a sheet of clear plastic sheet 4' square into the center of the floor. Tape securely all edges, securing it to the floor. Wait 24 hours. If you see darkening, dampness or condensation, then there is moisture, and it would need testing with a test kit to get the reading. If there is no change, then it should be ok. Please note though, that this test is just a snapshot' of the testing day, so if it was very dry before the test and then it there is a lot of rain at other times you could get a false negative.
